Chi sei?

Ciao, e grazie per avermi invitata oggi. Sono RJ Scott e, secondo USA Today, sono un’autrice bestseller di romance M/M, con oltre 150 storie pubblicate, tra cui circa 30 in italiano. Ed altre ne seguiranno!

Perché e quando hai iniziato a scrivere?

Ho sempre amato la scrittura e le storie, quindi scrivo da sempre. Ma la prima vera volta in cui ho scritto qualcosa per un pubblico è stata una fan fiction sul sovrannaturale, che ho iniziato nel 2007.

C’è un personaggio a cui sei maggiormente legata?

Decisamente Corey Dixon, uno dei protagonisti di Boy Banned – uno dei libri tradotti in italiano. Corey è nello spettro dell’autismo e il modo in cui agisce in certe situazioni è molto simile a quello di mio figlio, Matthew – anche lui nello spettro dell’autismo.

Perché hai deciso di scrivere libri m/m?

È molto emozionante scrivere di due uomini che si innamorano, e una volta scoperto m/m non sono più tornata indietro.

C’è un altro genere che ti piacerebbe scrivere?

Vorrei scrivere m/m per sempre, ma mi piacerebbe scrivere una storia post-apocalittica, un giorno… Chi lo sa!

Stai scrivendo qualcosa in questo momento?

Ho appena terminato “Cupcakes and Christmas”, il mio libro natalizio per il 2020, e ora mi sto occupando del quarto libro della serie Papà single: “Always”.

Sai quale sarà la prossima pubblicazione in italiano?

Ho diverse traduzioni in italiano in uscita. I due libri finali della serie Texas, altri due della serie Railers hockey, oltre, ovviamente, ai tre nuovi libri della serie Papà single, che saranno disponibili in italiano poco dopo le uscite in inglese.

Who are you?

Hi, and thank you for having me over here today. – I’m RJ Scott, and I’m a USA Today bestselling author of MM Romance, and I have over 150 published stories, of which 30 or so are in Italian. More to follow!

Why and when did you start to write?

I’ve always loved writing, and stories, so I’ve always written. But, my first real writing for public consumption was to write Supernatural fan fiction which I started way back in 2007

Is there a character you’re closest to?

Definitely it would be Corey Dixon, one of the heroes of Boy Banned – which is one of the books I have translated into Italian. Corey is on the spectrum and the way he acts in certain situations is very like my son, Matthew – who is also on the autism spectrum.

Why did you choose to write m/m books?

There is something very emotional about writing two men falling in love, and when I found MM there was no going back.

Is there any other genre you’d like to write about?

I would always stay in MM, but I would like to write a post-apocalyptic story one day – who knows!

Are you writing anything right now?

I’ve just finished Cupcakes and Christmas, my Christmas book for 2020, and now I’m onto book 4 in my Single Dads series, Always.

Do you know what your next Italian publication is?

I have several Italian translations coming up. The two final Texas books, two more Railers hockey books, plus of course the three new single dads books which will be available in Italian as near as I can get them to English releases.
